Commonwealth Leaders gathered at Marlborough House in London, UK, on 6th June 2012 to honour HM The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, at a special Diamond Jubilee lunch.

The Commonwealth Youth Orchestra performed the Commonwealth Anthem and other celebratory music during the day.

The Commonwealth Youth Orchestra & the Commonwealth Children's Choir performed for HM The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, at The Mansion House in the City of London on 5th June 2012.

On Tuesday 5 June 2012, following the Diamond Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, the soloists of The Commonwealth Youth Orchestra & Choir performed The Commonwealth Anthem and other celebratory music for Her Majesty The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, at The Mansion House in the City of London.

Monday 6th February 2012 marked the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II becoming Head of the Commonwealth.

The London Declaration of 1949 which established the Commonwealth of Nations stated that the British monarch would be a symbol of the free association of independent countries, and as such would be the Head of the Commonwealth.
